X-Y Display Toolbar

Signal Display

Grid Use this button to show or hide the grid of the X-Y display.
Color palette Use this button to change the color palette of the display.
Comments Use this button to show or hide the display and channel comments in the X-Y display.
History mode Activates or deactivates the history mode. When history mode is activated all recorded data is written on the screen without clearing the display in between. This allows it to find any spikes or to record the jitter of a signal. The display is cleared if the zoom settings are changed or the display is resized.
Cursor Use this button to show or hide the X-Y display cursors. There are two cursors available. The cursors can be moved by moving the mouse over the X-Y display while holding the left (Cursor A) or the right (Cursor B) mouse button pressed. The x and the y values of both cursors as well as the difference between the both cursors is displayed in the info dialog. The cursors are used for many different functions like defining calculation areas.
Draw samples as points Use this button to show all data samples as real points instead of points that are connected by lines. Showing the data samples as points instead of lines can be useful when using a high zoom level.
Average long data If this button is checked the display will average multiple samples into one pixel, otherwise the display will draw squares that indicate the x and y range of the samples.
Abort This button aborts the updating process of the display. If the updating process is aborted the display will show the last valid state of the display.
